Nurse Guide
This guide follows a nurse’s working day and links to the full page for each task. For who can do what, see Roles & Permissions.
Start of the day
- Open Today’s Queue from the Reception Queue. A nurse sees every patient at the location.
Per-patient work
- When a patient is routed to you, they show as Vitals now. Open the patient and record their vitals.
- Record vaccinations, drawing doses from stock where the service is set up.
- Add a progress note to the encounter when you need to record what you did.
- Receive or adjust stock when a delivery arrives or a count is off.
Throughout the day
- Read a patient’s chart, vitals history, and notes.
- Compose a letter or memo from a patient’s Documents.
- File incoming diagnostic results.
- Send and answer pings with the rest of the team.
Not in this role
A nurse cannot register patients, book appointments, sign off results, issue referrals or medical certificates, or manage staff, the formulary, or roster publishing. For the full boundary, see Roles & Permissions.
